Completion of UU Consultancy project: building tomorrow’s short food supply chain

For ten weeks, students from the Master’s programme in Sustainable Development at Utrecht University worked on a topical issue: how can we mobilise knowledge from EIP projects for new networks around local food systems

Commissioned by Netwerk Platteland / Regieorganisatie GLB (Dutch AKIS) and the EU4Advice Living Lab in Amsterdam, they researched how advisors, entrepreneurs and knowledge partners can be connected to the EU4Advice Living Lab more effectively. The aim is to accelerate the transition to a robust, regenerative and regional food system.

The results, presented by the students on Friday, June 27th, are perfectly in line with our commitment to:

  • increase advisors’ and entrepreneurs’ access to financing;
  • strengthen advisors’ and entrepreneurs’ visibility among policymakers and policy makers;
  • and work together to build the Dutch Living Lab for short chains.

Next year, Utrecht University will once again organise consultancy projects with students. We were very impressed by the quality of their research. Other clients from the AgriFood sector: register and contribute to innovation in the sector!

Our gratitude goes out to the entire team for all the valuable work!
