Harvest Summer Camp 2024

This month we had 43 dedicated pear harvesters come together to harvest over 23,000 kg of pears! The farmer William Pouw is thrilled, and so are we!

The Harvest Summer Camp was a cultural melting pot, interesting people with over 22 different nationalities. Throughout the camp, spontaneous workshops flourished, covering topics from regenerative agriculture to philosophy circles, playing the ukulele, Congolese dance and even the history of mate tea! This all took place at the beautiful Fort Everdingen.

The harvesters balanced hard work with fun summer activities, such as swimming with cows in the river, reading, playing games, and enjoying marshmallows by the fire. They also enjoyed (agro)yoga and engaging discussions. The steady flow delicious, healthy vegetarian meals cooked by the Grounded chefs, satisfied all.

Harvest Summer Camp 2024 came about through the collaboration between Amped (see Harvest Heroes 2022), 7 Billion Presidents, Grounded, and Erasmus+.
