Amped joins Green Minds Gather in Copenhagen

Amped, on invitation of Novo Nordisk Foundation and Copenhagen Business School, joins the Green Minds Gather conference on 29-30th of April by hosting two workshops to further the dialogue and start hacking the key challenges of the agri-food sector.
Track: Developing localized food systems and short food supply chains
Over the last decade, an increasing number of European towns and cities have acknowledged the need to radically change their food systems so as to make local, sustainable and healthy food more available, affordable and attractive to citizens. One pathway is to source food from local sources, increasing urban-rural connections, and building stronger short food supply chains. The required changes in the food system are, however, not easily realized due to systemic barriers that hinder scaling of grassroots initiatives.

This track seeks to work towards an integrated, interactive support structure that will empower changemakers and mobilize networks on a co-created pathway toward strong short food supply chains.
The track is an interactive session organized by Mark Frederiks (EU4Advice and Amped, in collaboration with BSV Association), and Jacqueline Broerse, Professor of Innovation and Communication (Athena – Research and Education Institute Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and FoodCLIC/FOOD 2030 Networks.

The Green Minds Gather 2025 conference is organized by the Danish Centre for Sustainable Agrifood Systems (START) in collaboration with CLEVERFOOD, FOOD 2030 Networks and AgriFoodTure.
The ambition of Green Minds Gather is to help form the basis for future research, solutions and political initiatives concerning the agrifood sector. Based on the key takeaways from the conference, policy suggestions and future-oriented research directions will be outlined. These suggestions will provide input for the official Danish EU presidency event: Bioeconomy and Transformative Governance for Food Systems and Biodiversity taking place in the first week of December 2025.
Green Minds Gather brings together 500 key stakeholders; Danish and international researchers, practitioners from the agrifood industry and policymakers from Denmark and the EU and we invite all academic disciplines to collaborate in addressing the current challenges, shaping key questions, and expanding our vision for the future.
Together, we will explore the next steps in greening the agrifood systems from a research perspective, bringing networks together from research institutions, agri business, short food supply chains, regenerative agriculture and ecosystem restoration communities!
