Co-creation Session ‘Utreg, wat maak je me nou!’

In late December 2023 Amped and a dozen partners initiated the area-based collaboration process with the local food movement in Utrecht, under the name ‘Utreg, wat maak je me nou!’ (‘Utrecht, what are you doing!’). The same process has been central to the evolution of the Dutch EU4Advice Living Lab in Amsterdam.

After the two successful inspiration and activation meetings on April 4th and October 31st 2024 at Steck Utrecht, about 40 participating organisations and initiatives completed the survey to gather the required information on what they are doing, what they’re good at, where they need help and what can be added.

They got to know each other better and saw what wonderful projects the participants are already realizing.

Maarten Klop (Amped): “The ideas and input submitted give us the confidence that together we can develop effective projects for a green, healthy and happy Utrecht. The ambitions are diverse and impressive: from food forests and Community Supported Agriculture projects to community kitchens, dispensaries, short food chains, nature restoration projects, education and more. And yes, all of this is desperately needed!”

Co-creation session
On January 23rd, Amped will host the co-creation session at Fort bij ‘t Hemeltje in Houten for the participants who completed this survey, in order to come up with a joint action and funding plan. The survey results have provided insights into the level of expertise and requests for help, as well as ongoing projects and aspirations.

Based on these results we identified four cross-project themes, which form the co-creation session’s program and the thematic sessions will be hosted by knowledgable experts from the EU4Advice Living Lab network.

The co-creation session will then explore project-oriented collaboration: how can we empower each other, and where do we have shared needs for help?

After this co-creation session, we will work with the experts and the Writing Office to develop a joint action and funding plan.
