Recap of trade mission Amsterdam x Paris
Via Amsterdam Trade & Innovate:
The trade mission to Paris brought together a great group of entrepreneurs with inspiring new ideas on urban agriculture and new food distribution systems. Among them was Mark Frederiks, Managing Director of AMPED, a company that combines expertise in data, IT, entrepreneurship and networking to support new initiatives in the food industry. AMPED’s subsidiary company Local2Local is an initiative for local and regional food distribution with ultra-short supply chains.
Mark: “The mission has created a closer relationship with the Amsterdam stakeholders. It also created a good understanding of possible opportunities around acting together in the transition of agriculture. Naturally, it has brought the necessary inspiration and, above all, a number of useful contacts.”
What did you think was the best part of this trade mission?
“The drinks at the embassy was a very good networking exchange.”
What do you like about the food sector in the Amsterdam region?
“There are insanely many opportunities to play a leading role in the field of transition and urban and regional food systems.”
